Curtis (she/hers) joined Pro-Choice Washington in 1995. She believes that reproductive freedom is a foundation of self-determination and a society that denies this to people regardless of identity or economic circumstances is an immoral one. Pro-Choice Washington’s focus on fighting right-wing efforts to criminalize women and their doctors for providing abortion care is why she joined the organization. Their expanding efforts to advance comprehensive reproductive health care access for everyone reinforces her commitment to the cause.
Curtis is a Washington native. While attending college she worked as a model then was recruited to work in Europe where she lived for several years. After moving back she got her degree at Seattle Central College then started working in non-profit fundraising and organizing with a focus on women’s and LGBTQ rights.
