Senior Operations Manager
Chris Smith (she/her) joined Pro Choice Washington in November 2022, bringing her intimate care work experience that she honed in her hometown of Baltimore City, Maryland and here in Seattle. Chris is excited to focus on goals that will provide reliable, practical support as an administrator while challenging and changing the language within systems that oppress our ability to receive equitable, quality healthcare.
Chris has decades of multi-faceted experience. She has organized, developed, and facilitated art and healing programs for elders; worked directly with folks who are navigating the justice system; and advocated for youth as an Indigenous Birth Keeper. Her work focuses on creating bridges of trust and autonomy by supporting people through the full spectrum of reproductive health, and hopes to raise awareness around harm reduction practices, horticulture, and collective liberation for all.
In her free time, Chris enjoys volunteering in local hospitals, clinics, and classrooms.
