Interim Executive Director
Sami Alloy (she/her) joined Pro-Choice Washington in February of 2022, driven by a deep commitment to building powerful and resilient social movements for reproductive justice. Sami believes that bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are fundamental human rights, and that means ensuring that every Washington resident has equitable access to safe, healthy communities, affordable high-quality health care, and the economic stability they need to thrive.
Sami brings deep experience in community organizing, advocacy, and political campaigns at the intersection of racial, gender, and economic justice. Sami hails from Oregon where she worked to pass Oregon’s landmark drug decriminalization law and implement addiction recovery, harm reduction, and housing services for communities that have been disproportionately harmed by the war on drugs. Previously, Sami organized across the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West to counter the rise of white nationalism and far-right extremism with Western States Center. Additionally, Sami has worked with Forward Together and the Oregon Working Families Party to advance policy change, including reproductive health equity, paid family and medical leave, fair workplace protections, immigrant rights, and criminal justice sentencing reform, and to elect progressive champions to public office. Sami earned her BA in International Development Studies and Spanish from Portland State University.
