Seattle, WA – Pro‑Choice Washington is excited to announce the release of the Abortion Access Guide, a free, community resource to help patients access abortion care in Washington state.
Against the backdrop of national uncertainty around reproductive healthcare in the post‑Dobbs era, the Abortion Access Guide is a up‑to‑date resource with provider-reviewed information and is designed to center abortion patients and their helpers who are seeking care in Washington– whether they live here or not.
Included within the guide are step-by-step instructions to access care and easy to use QR codes that direct patients to legally vetted information, trusted partner resources, and information on types of abortion, medications, and typical costs for care.
“Reliable, accurate information about abortion care saves lives. In a time when so many patients are being harmed by restrictions on abortion care and information about how to access it, this is absolutely vital,” said Sami Alloy, Executive Director.
“The Abortion Access Guide is a roadmap for abortion seekers. We developed it in collaboration with providers to empower patients, center their agency, and promote health equity. We hope this guide can serve as a lifeline for patients as they navigate past barriers no matter what their journey to abortion care has been.”
Building on Pro-Choice Washington’s commitment to community education through tools like the How to Talk About Abortion guide, this new publication is another essential offering aimed at equipping Washingtonians and any out of state patient with trusted, practical information amid a politically volatile national landscape for reproductive rights.
