Dozens of pro-choice activists gathered on the legislative steps Wednesday, rallying to advocate for reproductive rights and urging lawmakers to pass key legislation. The event featured speakers and passionate calls for action, as demonstrators sought to draw attention to their cause.
Sami Alloy, interim executive director of Pro-Choice Washington, spoke about the importance of protecting reproductive rights in Washington state and addressed the crowd.
“We’ve seen in states around the country that patients have been prosecuted for their pregnancy outcomes,” Alloy said. “We want to make sure that here in WA, we’re affirming the rights of patients.”
