“This is a direct threat to Roe v. Wade,” said NARAL Washington Executive Director Tiffany Hankins. She has worked with the organization for almost 10 years and said she’s seen more young people taking action against what they see as a reversal on strides made for reproductive rights. “We see this as the fight of our generation.
“This rally was organized by NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League) and Planned Parenthood, but advocates for gay rights and environmental rights also made pleas against this nomination.”
“In Seattle, 300 anti-Kavanaugh protesters joined NARAL Pro-Choice Washington, Planned Parenthood of the Northwest and Hawaii, FUSE Washington, Indivisible and Seattle Clinic Defense in an hour-long rally at Westlake Plaza in downtown Seattle.”
