Seattle Spring Communications Intern

Available: January – May 2019

Reports to: Development & Communications Director, Communications Assistant

Hours: 10-15 hrs/week (flexible)

NARAL Pro-Choice Washington is the state’s leading pro-choice advocacy organization.


  • Creating engaging social content
  • Tracking press + news quotes
  • Assisting in copy creation for events, newsletters, and other platforms
  • Learn to create on-brand visual assets for digital platforms
  • Learn to prepare reports on digital engagement
  • Learn to maintain NARAL’s website
  • Researching digital campaigns based on social media engagement
  • Participation on-site at NARAL special programs as needed

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • A commitment to NARAL’s pro-choice mission
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in social media & Microsoft Office
  • The ability to work independently and with others
  • Dependability, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Openness to learning and growing within the internship experience
