2022 Electoral and Campaign Fellow
Hermona (she/her/hers) is a rising senior majoring in Public Health-Global Health at the University of Washington’s Seattle campus. As a first-generation Eritrean-American born and raised in the greater Seattle area, Hermona is motivated by her family’s experiences as refugees to work towards ensuring equitable, quality access to health care and education for all. She most recently fundraised to create scholarships for girls facing barriers to education, interned with an international NGO globally implementing large-scale projects focused on reproductive health and education, and joined Washington’s chapter in support of the #Insulin4All movement. With a goal to pursue a Master’s in Public Health through a dual degree program in the future, she hopes to catalyze change through a career in health policy.
