About Pro-Choice Washington
Pro-Choice Washington is the only independent grassroots advocacy organization for
reproductive freedom in Washington state. We believe every person deserves equitable access to affordable, unbiased, quality reproductive and abortion healthcare within their community.
Our organization is powered by the voices of more than 35,000 supporters across the state who are speaking up for reproductive rights through advocacy, community engagement, and
education.
Pro-Choice Washington’s issue areas include ending discriminatory denials to reproductive health care, expanding abortion and contraception access for historically excluded communities, raising awareness and funding for equitable abortion and reproductive health care, and revitalizing the reproductive freedom movement to be more inclusive and reflective of community needs.
About the Fellowship
This is a critical moment for abortion rights and access in the United States. The recent federal
ruling on medication abortion coupled with the rise of abortion restrictions and anti-LGBTQIA+ laws across the country have made it clear that the anti-abortion movement will stop at nothing to dismantle reproductive freedom for our communities. These rollbacks of fundamental rights to bodily autonomy underscore how important it is to elect unapologetic, intersectional champions for reproductive freedom who will protect, restore and expand access to abortion and gender affirming care in Washington. Pro-Choice Washington seeks two fellows to join our organizing and field team this winter/spring. This fellowship is specifically designed to provide hands-on experience in legislative advocacy and grassroots lobbying, with a central focus on planning, executing, and evaluating our annual Lobby Day. Fellows will gain practical skills in political organizing, electoral campaigns, volunteer management, issue-based advocacy, and direct legislative engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for emerging leaders who want to understand how grassroots pressure translates into policy change at the state level.
